New server: stuck on "Starting game"

Hi all,

I just rented a small private server, when I join the server it just seems to hang on "starting game". Only found an old topic regarding this problem. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? I'm using a seed, does that matter, break it?

Use the following procedure to reproduce the problem:
First Exit the game or make sure the game is not running.
Start the game. Do NOT ALT+TAB.
Reproduce the problem.
Exit the game.
In the steam client.
Right Click 7 Days To Die and select properties
Click the Local Files Tab
Click the Browse local files button.
double-click the \7DaysToDie_Data\ folder
open output_log.txt Or the latest output_log_<DATETIME>.txt where <DATETIME> is the last date/time found in the filename.
Copy all the contents {CTRL+A then CTRL+C}
paste the contents to http://pastebin.com
Include the link to that paste.

I have to close the game with Alt+F4. In the data folder there is only 5 other folders (bundles, config..) No output log is appearing.

Seems there was a great struggle to connect, and then as soon as it did it disconnected. I'm not seeing an obvious "why" for it though. Try disabeling Unet in the game launcher and joining the server with that disabled.

Also you'll want a new password for that server now, as it shows in that log file ;)

Thanks for your feedback and yes I noticed that just after I uploaded it started reading the file fully myself :)

Reinstalled the server, appears to be the seed that is causing it. Now looking for a good seed that works..

Seed names won't cause issue outside of odd terrain generation. Make sure any old saves are deleted and start a fresh game and see if the issue persists.
