I swear theyre used for making electrical parts.

Might be mistaken though because someone else in my group handles most of the electric/trapping

Ah, I guess if you went into Do It Yourself you may run into something that uses them. But between the cars, TVs and control station stuff that net me ridiculous amounts of mech/electric/electronic parts, I've never seen a reason to spend points into being able to make them.

yeah, on a popular multiplayer server that stuff is pretty much looted within an IRL week everywhere lol.

Fair point lol. I just play with a few friends on my own private server. So that's never really an issue.
