What is the best way to make reinforced concrete?
I think there are 2 ways: pouring concrete mix into a rebar, or upgrading flagstone/cobblestone until it becomes concrete. which of these methods ends up stronger? and which is cheaper overall?

Neither is stronger, but if memory serves me its less resources to build with re-bar frames

yeah it's seeming that way, thanks
im guessing that once the concrete dries, i can apply more to reinforce it, right?

Depends tbh, metal is arguably harder to come by and more useful in resources other than rebar, which means provided you have the time flagstone is the most cost effective method.

As for your second question, yes once it's dried reapply.

Yeah, the rebar way is by far the best way, a few scrap iron for a rebar frame and 10 mix, done.
Every other way is a lot more materials

Did they take out the ability to just make concrete blocks?

Rebar is by far the cheapest way to do it.

No but they are not reinforced concrete so will need a second "coat" to fully upgrade.

No, its wet concrete now or something, you just need to let it dry.
But the rebar way is best if you are going for reinforced concrete, save 10 mix etc.

Got it, thanks for the knowledge. I always just go concrete block to reinforced but maybe time to change it up

rebarb and then only 10 concrete gets u reinforced concreate. No need to do 2 concreate upgrades with rebarb. Also, its cheaper but the end result is same defense value.

Rebar route goes straight to reinforced concrete, a few metal and 10 concrete mix, done.

Concrete block 10 concrete mix + 10 more concrete mix to get reinforced concrete.

Cobblestone to concrete = all cobblestone material + 10 concrete mix.

Rebar frame route takes you straight to reinforced concrete but uses rebar frames (iron)
Wet concrete block route requires upgrading to reinforced after it dries, but uses only cement mix. So depending on how critical your iron supply is, you can save iron by usig wet concrete blocks, or save time by using rebar.

There is no "best way" - There are several options and depending on what exactly you are trying to do, the "best way" will not be the same.

We recently had someone see the base we were building and proceeded to tell us how we were 'doing it wrong' by not starting with the rebar frames- In our particualr instance there is far more than "meets the eye" to our base and we end up upgrading everything to steel (and its a TON) so we need every scrap of iron we are mining plus more as it is- We have so much rock we throw it away so in our case we're better off either starting from Concrete Block (probably the best choice) or cobblestone and upgrading without needing the Iron even though the math shows it taskes "more" to do it that way - Its just that what it takes is something that we are abundent in to the point we are throwing excess rock away when we cannot trade it.

In most cases and especially with small bases it probably best to start with the rebar frames but even then there are so many variables to your personal build and gathering methods that its not a 'black and white' issue.

Once you are familiar with the game mechanics and how things work you will find that often what seems like the 'best way' to do just about anything is dependant on circumstance and variable and you have to adjust things depending on what your plans are.
