Make eggs and bacon. In other words save the eggs it's worth it. In a pinch you have to do what you have to do. It is said it's a limitation of the game engine(not giving back empty jar in this case)glass jars are common and can be made at a forge. before the forge it can seem steep, though I find many jars in looting; usually i am more worried about water sources like snow or lake/pond.

By day 4-5 I normally have like 300 glass Jars either crafted to build up my water supply or just by loot. Not a big deal really. Wouldn't worry about it, get that forge up and running asap, its best way I find to get going.

If you're hosting, type cm in console and give yourself back the jars you lose if it really bothers you. It's worth saving for bacon and eggs though.

Thanks everyone for the input. Regarding the forge, whats teh quickest way to get it up and running? It takes me a while to get 20 hides to make the bellow.

Smash up some leather couches and make them with leather. There's leather couches everywhere in homes, in the crackabook reading lounge, and all over the place

You just need the black ones for leather, the yellow ones give cloth
