Offline LAN Multiplayer is possible

Ok, so for a while me and my friends were tinkering with a way to play offline, since we don't have a stable internet connection. After some experimentation we came up with a way, now let me be clear, you do need some internet to initiate this, but the actual playing can be done offline, here's how:

-First off, you can use your phone to USB tether and share your data to your PC, this is just to log into steam online and then into the game. Once in the game's main menu you can disconect your data, the 'Connect to server' button will not disappear, while offline.

-Next have your host start and load into the world you want to multiplayer, the people wanting to connect can click on 'Connect to server' in the mean time.

-Now once the host is in the game, have him minimize the game, press the windows key + R and type in CMD, and in the command prompt that appears type ipconfig. Search for the IPv4 address which should look something like : 192.168.80.3. Obviously the digits on your side will differ. Once the host knows his IP address, simply have the other people type in that IP address at the bottom of the 'Connect to server' page in the box next to IP. Obviously the game port must be the same as what the host set it as, but if he/she didn't change it, then you won't have to aswell.

-Some things to note: No one must be online while doing this otherwise it will kick people out every now and then due to an online check failure, while everyone is offline it works fine. There is also a massive ping reduction due to playing locally.

There is a few ways to do this. There is a mod if i recall. But beware there is some "nonofficial" ways to do it also that basicially are hacks to play it. BUT if look on main forum there are some guides on easy ways to play on LANs. I havent done it as i play on a hosted server but heard people mention it all i know.
