Can we craft Black Iron Railing?
I'm trying to build a nice fence to my garden area, and didn't know how to craft it

I think it's in the forge-only recipes iirc?

Nope, there is another craftable railing but not the black one.

I think it is the wrought iron fence in the forge, I have no idea what this other fence is.
Maybe try a wooden fence and then upgrading it.

The one that is specifically named "black iron railing" no you cant craft it. It is occasionally for sale in Traitor Joels though (as are just about all of the various building pieces that you can't craft, it's just random)

There are several types of fence and railings that you can make

The wood rail (with just two posts that matches the wood catwalk) can be upgraded to iron, but it's the iron catwalk style of rail (you cant craft the iron catwalk or rail, you have to craft the wood version and upgrade it)

The slat board wood rail looks nicer if you are leaving it wood, but it can't be upgraded further

If neither of those is to your taste than just type " fence " in the recipe box and it will show you what fences you can make. I usuallly do wrought iron fence or white picket fence for my garden areas

Or you could make it look a little more private and use the wood fence stacked two high, it looks like a privacy fence that way

Also "iron bars" look pretty good when used as fencing, depending on what kind of style you are making. They are also substantially harder to destory than any other type of fence or railing, they are as sturdy as a good wall but with the look of a fence. Iron bars have the additional benefit that you can shoot through them without damaging them (much like the truss, but the truss is ugly for fencing, its more for defensive bunker positions where you need to shoot through gaps while still keeping them covered)
