EDIT: The drop key only works with your toolbelt. Forgot about that.
It works like this:
You put a frame on the ground and then on top of it you place a chest. When you're finished crafting you shift-click all the items from your inventory into the secure storage chest. When it's full you just remove the frame from the bottom and the chest gets destroyed. Rinse and repeat.
I have a G13 game pad. Use any programmable controller. Set one to toggled a function that spams the 'Q' key. I do the same with the 'E' Key for farming, and "Right Mouse" for planting.
Not time efficient though. Early on, sure. But stone isn't that valuable, nor is wood.
Scrapping Stone Axes wouldn't be a benefit since I'd have to go to each axe and click scrap which with all the time I'd be doing that I could of gotten WAY more resources.
This is probably the quickest way. I was able to fill up about 4 chests full of stone axes. Placed them all in there and boom.. All gone
I really hate that the menu changes by selected item though, gotta learn which button use with which item type. But makes things so much faster to deal with, rather than dragging :)
