Picking up Workbench or Chem Station?

I'm probably just missing something obvious - how do you pick up a workbench or a chem station with a wrench? Left click attacks and damages it, right click repairs it, and holding down E only gives me the use radial option.

Left click is the one, it looks like its destroying it, but at 0 it will appear in your backpack...

I have heard you can weaken it with anything, then on the last few HP for the item use the wrench and it's in your backpack

Yeh, this works with anything that has a health bar but is collected all at once with the last hit. Just make sure you break it with the right tool at the end.

Yeah it looks like destroying... but with a wrench! Only with a wrench , you get the workbench or the chemistystation or the forge in your backpack. .... with axes you can get the campfire

Confirmed to work using the Wrench "destroy" method of collecting:

Forges
Workbenches
Camp Fires
Chemistry Stations
Shopping Baskets
Cement Mixer
Mobile Spotlight (the ones you find out and about in clubs)

Best place to get the rarer Mechanical Parts: Use a wrench on Shopping Trolleys.

i just broken a workbench down with a wrench and i just got the materials from it, no workbench

Old outdated information. A year ago this was the case. Not anymore once 16.4 went live.

It has to be within your Land Claim Block, then just destroy it with your wrench. it HAS to be in your LCB area though. and with that, you can pick up any placeable in that area the same way.

I thought you couldn't wrench apart anything anymore? By anything, I mean forges, workbenches, chem stations etc.
