Any way to one hit rocks while mining?

I couldn't find a topic about this so decided to start one. I maxed my steel pick axe to lvl 600, mining tools to lvl 100, and miner 69er 5/5 and have 70/500 damage left on each rock I hit. Any skills I'm missing or is there no way to one hit rocks?

Nope. Unless you modify the xml files. I don't know how to do that myself, but others are pretty skilled. If you're interested in that, I'm sure others will pop in here sooner or later, or you can create a "mining xml thread".
Purple tools have stopped being a priority for this reason. I usually only max out miner69er so I can get iron in 3 strikes lol. Hopefully, miners will get some love in future updates.

You can only do that with 600 Sledge Hammer, a maxed out Clubs + B&E.

I know it won't help but using valmod you can 1 shot rocks pretty early on.

Sledge have a great bonus to metal and stony things that it can be compared in strenght to max miner69 and steel pickaxe, max quality sledge + blunt skills propably would one hit it, but blunt weapons doesn't give resources for it, atleast only for breaking it, rest is lost.

THe sledge is slow and taxing on your stamina so it will be like two hitting the stones even if you manage to one hit break the stone. go for the XML edit if it annoys you so much. :)

Sledge is fun to mine with, and you still get the end iron for each rock you break. But less rocks, so less concrete

Sledge is less of everything when used to mine any resource

Using the correct tools nets you more no matter what you are breaking (pick axe for mining, knife for cutting bodies, etc)

Without editing xml files I don't think you can anymore. I know in A14 wih a 600 pickaxe and maxed miner 69er you could 1 hit rocks (underground or topside).

But in A15 I have read about people who maxed miner 69'er and a 600 pickaxe but stll takes 2 hits. First hit just takes it to 99% so it takes 1 more swing.

I have yet to reach max skill in miner 69'er so I can not confirm this, it's only what I have read over the years....someone who wants to use creative mode and knows how to give yourself max skill, then please by all means let us know if 1 hitting rocks is doable....thanks.

I have maxed mining tools, maxed miner 69er and quality 600 steel and it's still 2 hits with a pick axe

If you want faster you use an auger

You lower the block health. Only way to achieve that.

go to steam library press 7d2d properties then local files then edit items then scroll to pickaxeiron or steel and chsnge block dmg
