F1 Structural integrity tool?
I asked this in another forum but it is old and I believe it is offically dead.

So in a different forum, someone said you can hit F1, type dm, and in the pause menu it will display the structural integrity of the blocks, apparently blue blocks mean need more support. I got to the pause menu, and I see a tool panel on the right side of screen. I also see a recalc structural integrity tool but it doesnt seem to do anything nor do I see any colored blocks on my screen. This is a private MP server.

Thanks for the help!

P.S. Googling this doesn't help...I just get general info about S.I in the game

I believe this conversation was when they started talking about Empyrion - different game. I never saw such a tool in 7 Days.

I saw the same post in that thread and was curious, so I perused the wiki. The only thing I found even remotely close to that is the "recalc stability" command which fixes physics props that are floating in the air. It doesn't say anything about showing the SI of supported blocks.

It's an Empyrion thing. Not 7 Days related.

Guys. It's a real thing. If I knew how to link to other forms I would...

If your on your computer just copy the URL link and paste it here. People can click the link at their own risk (steam will generally give a warning when a link leads away to another site).

With debug mode on, hit ESC to bring up the menu. You'll see an extra menu on the right. Look at the bottom of that menu. There is a checkbox called Debug Shader. Check that box and you'll see what you are describing.

Yes, thank you I know that now. But do you know how to interpret this? So, for instance, can this tool prevent me from adding that 1 extra block that ruins everything if I know how to use it?

Hrm, I haven't used it in a long time, but if I recall correctly, the darker colored blocks are sturdier while the lighter colored blocks are weaker and need reinforcement. I forgot what the red means. :P
