mobile spotlight vs minibike light
Why are the mobile spotlight so bad ? I build 4 of them to light around my base but they only light up to 8 or 10 block/tile away.

So I instead build a minibike on top of my base and now it seems like I summon an angel. wtf.
Why are the minibike light so powerfull compare to the mobile spotlight ?

I think they have been dimed to save on the frame rate, like we used to have problems with torches on low end comps, i have mobile lights and replaced most of my torches with industrial lights as they give off the same light also they cut down on the miner hats light as well Ikts very hard to light up your base for horde night lol check my screen shots for my bae lights lol never thought of using a mini bike for lights

I was wondering the same thing some time ago.

My best guess is this: The minibike light has to be strong and reach far. This is because when you have a good quality bike that runs fast - by night you need to see far or you will not be able to react in time to obstacles or bodies of water.

I miss my coal torches. I miss my good mobile spotlights. Several mini bikes? Good idea excepting they use gas and the battery runs down.

yea I know, but for the 7 night it's pretty useful to kill the zombies before they get to the base

They should buff a little bit the mobile spotlight I think because right now they are pretty useless. They can't even light down or up so you can't place them on top of your base if you have more than 2 floor

Agreed, Spotlights aren't as impressive as they used to be (pre-A15).

In the Week 12 Dev Blog (@ 4:37) MM answers a question about adding a lantern that casts brighter light. He flat out says 'No' as the current lighting in the game helps balance performance issues.

Hopefully they make an exception for the Spotlight as it is specifically meant to light up the area around a base.

Might make me some Minibike Spotlights ;)

I don't know if it's a bug but the battery seems to fill in the minibike when they are not use so you can just use it at night and close it at day. I don't know if they charge fast enough to be able to use them each night.
