Miner 69'er Perk Worth It?
I was considering putting all 30 of the skill points that I have into that but I wanna know if it is really worth it or not. The block damage increases by 20% and 10% less stamina is used with every rank so It seems like it is. But I'm not sure. I can either put my 30 into this or my 30 into concrete mixing.

Miner 69er is definitely worth it...but I cannot advise much further than that. Perks are kind of dependent on playstyle.

Personally, I maxed that one out pretty early in the game as I do a lot of mining for ores.

But I also unlocked Concrete pretty early in the game too.

Also, you can do a rank at a time, no need to rush to the third or fourth rank if it takes points away from other useful perks that may be more immediate (again, this depends on playstyle).

I guess it comes down to whether or not you want to collect materials faster or upgrade to stronger walls...and only you can decide that, my friend :)

Everybody has their own opinions of how to spend the points. in THIS situation, between the 2 options you ask about, I would say put it in Concrete.... you already have the ability to mine rocks... it may be slower but you can still do it. With Concrete mixing you gain a new ability and can now USE those rocks to make upgraded blocks.

If you are a miner then yes. If you are a killer then no.

Good point!

If playing solo, better to max perks insteed of skills, in this case mixing is better bcs allows making cobble 2 times stronger and digging rocks is possible with good tool without miner, if need many rocks and need o make better walls, then first concrete then max miner, not from miner to concrete.

It makes sense to strengthen the miner perk early on because it will speed up accrual of basic supplies. Faster basic supplies, faster crafting, more skill points.

Mining is a basic function, unless you're playing in a team with separate functions, always pop mining early.

Also a good point :)

That include the showels and iron/steel axes too so it is in my opinion a must-have if you want to build early, and speeds up the gathering of stone/iron/gravel/clay/wood is a really good thing even in late game.

Yes certainly worth it. I have my concrete perk now so I'm going to focus on Miner 69'er now. Already two ranks in.

In one of my current games, two of the perks I took ealry on were Miner 69er and Sexual Tyranosaurus. More block damage, reduced Stamina drain, and faster Stamina recovery means you can mine for a whole lot longer before having to rest to recover your stamina. Not only that, but I'm fairly certain that you do more damage with a higher stamina, which means your mine through blocks even faster, if you're able to keep your stamina up.

The fact that Miner 69er applies to Fire Axes, Shovels and Pick Axes makes it all the better, even if you don't necessarily do a ton of mining, but looting as well, since your Pick Axe and Fire Axe should do more damage, making it easier to break into buildings.

Here's another thing to consider in the early game if you don't have a reliable source of Forged Iron to produce Iron Pickaxes for mining stone. Stone Shovels benefit from the Miner 69er perk which when compared to a Stone Axe will do more damage to rocks and stone.

My only problem with miner69er is you need rank 5 to get the auger but it doesn't seem to use any miner skills for damage base, it seems to use mechanical.

You don't need rank 5 to get auger....you just need to find the recipe for it, then the parts and assemble it.....I had an auger once and never put one single point into miner 69'er at the time.

OP..as mentioned, all depends on your play style. I always dig tunnels. I either build a ground level building to house my workbench, forge, etc etc, or the 2nd floor of a 2 story house. Then I dig a tunnel out from the house to a tower then another to an entrance / exit, then eliminate all doors on the house.

So for me, my first points go into miner 69'er and anything stamina related after Quality Joe that is.....my first points go here everytime..lol
