Block Rotation
Hey, I'm trying to find a way to rotate my blocks in order to be facing me, rather than by this 45 degree angle. Is there a way to change this?

As seen above, it's at an angle, and would result in my base goinge off of the gravel

Its part of the voxel system that makes up the entire world you live in. Everything is considered a block all facing the same way. There is no way to adjust a block in the orientation you are asking for Im afraid.

Your screenshot shows it at a 45 degree angle from where you're standing, but the game engine sees every block as a 90 degree angle perfect cube facing North, South, East, West no exeptions...this includes the ramps you can create.

Thanks for the reply.

except for the ground type tiles right? those are 45degrees rotated in comparison to building blocks. That is frustrating when you want a underground entrance to your base. (you have to make it 2 wide so you can place blocks to hold your ladder at an angle you can use it lol)

I think he is talking about diamont shaped blocks (e.g., stone).

Yeah, but house blocks align perfectly with the other blocks where you put ladders on, so I don't see a problem there. Once you dig the first two holes in the ground you place a frame to get your bearings, you upgrade it and then you start placing ladders.

But I understand that must be a noob problem probably...

yeah not talking about house blocks. ground blocks like dirt,or asphalt are "diamond" shaped or in other words rotated 45degrees. So unlike Lesh-9 said. not all blocks face the same way. Also I explained how to make the ladder, why did you? lol

In this video the blocks rotate it 45 degrees. How do you do that?

That only works for some blocks like bars. The YouTuber probably chose the worst example in that case, since it's confusing for someone who doesn't know... :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
