Am I the only one that doesn't watch any streamers?
Feel like I'm in a south park episode where they're bashing the younger kids for being into streamers.

I don't get it. I tried watching one. Lasted 45 seconds before I wanted to start throwing stuff lol.

Are streamers the result of kids giving their younger siblings a non-functional controller, and telling them they really are playing too?

I don't watch them.

The streamers they released A16 to are annoying, in particular the bearded-guy gimmick duo.

Some streamers are entertaining. Others just shout a lot and have nothing interesting to comment on.

Its all about peer groups. Kids look up to adults. Personally i don't watch streamers but they do get a lot of attention which is good for the developers.

I'll watch streams to get ideas and stuff but I don't watch them if I am at all interested in the game and I have not yet had a chance to play it. Sometimes you can get inspired to play a game by watching something cool someone else does in their game. As far as A16 goes... nope. I'm waiting patiently to get my hands on it so I can start a new game fresh and see how i do figuring things out on my own.

I tried watching the bearded guys for a few minutes, they just cheated everything into the game. Big turn off. Might have watched someone play it legit, but not that crap.

Guess it depends,I saw some from the bearded guys and they were playing legit, but spawned in an axe to test harvest quantity when someone asked.

The stream was interesting because many of TFP devs were present answering questions.

Yeah I clicked the link 5 hours late & no bearded guys, saw the same thing you did.
It was like watching a "HACKER PLAY" & he was a NOOB playing on an XBOX.
I thought playtesting was supposed to be VANILLA to find bugs so we can get the Alpha released.
How giving early access to streamers to use Cheat Mode helps getting the game ready just baffles me.

I never watch or watched streamers. Never saw any particular need or had any particular interest in watching other people play games... unless I was sitting next to them IRL.

I'm old fashionned like that... I know the niche market streamers, youtubers and general "Hey! Look Ma! I make moneyz off YewToob by spankin mi frienz upside the head!" kind of thing... it's how life is now. It replaces most "gag reels" or "comedy" shows on TV, seeing how both TV and internet are now pretty much the same.

I'll still read reviews of games - words expressed in a civilized and intelligent way still appeal more to me than the "HOLY $%?%?/% Dooooood! You see this %?/$&%$"? What the "/%$/% is this "/$%$%$/, Mothe$/"%$/$%??!?? This game RAWKS!$%/$%/!!!!". So yeah, not interested. :P

I don't waste my time with this kind of ♥♥♥♥. Not now, not later, not ever.

Streamers are worst kind of voyeurism or porn - you're supposed to be doing the real thing rather than watching someone else having all the fun and getting paid for it.

Not to mention lots and lots of idiots donating big money for these cucks. "Welcome to the army, bois!!!"

But... as always, to each their own.

Makes no sense to me. Paying them on top of that. How does this exist! Well good for them if they can get money out of people doing that. Feel bad for kids parents lol terrible
Can't wait for the game. Dont wanna spoil it for myself

I don't usually watch streams or Let's Play or any kind of videos like that. Just not my thing. I did catch one for A16 though just because, well, 7DTD.

i don't watch streamers. i do streaming though. i use youtube live as it automatically archives the video and such.

i work on the theory some people are interested in some games and will watch a video of other people playing it to see if it's actually their kind of game before purchasing it. I do.

for that reason i play 7 days to die live with it then archived into a series. i do not have monetisation active, i explain the game, explain the rules, explain my tactics and react to the gameplay realistically.

i watch lets play videos that are similar when i want to buy a game i'm not sure about. i'm not too keen on streaming though. i might want to replay the video in the future.
