Mechanical parts without a wrench

My last wrench is broken and i'm 5 mechanical parts short of a workbench... Is there any decently reliable way to get mechanical parts without a wrench, or should i go looking a for a new town to loot and hope for another wrench.

Also, mechanical parts drop for office chairs, shopping carts, cash registers, cars, AC units just to name common ones.

Once you aquire a wrench, you can easily wrench a workbench you find in the wild say at a pass and gas and take it home with you. No need to build one yourself. Beat it with a stone axe till it's hitpoints are almost gone then wrench the last few hitpoints, viola free workbench. This also works for spotlights and alchemy stations.

and forges, and concrete mixers, i think the only work station you cant pick up with a wrench is the campfire (and those are just stone so who cares)

I usually steal a forge and concrete mixer and sometimes a workbench and take them back home with me.

Mechanical chairs(office chairs),filing cabinates,Neon signs (I think they give parts or at least some other part that's handy),air con,shopping carts,cars,lights(?) should all give parts.

Without a wrench, try working stiff crates. Not frequent, but ususlly 5 or more parts when you find that lucky crate 8)

You'll probably find a wrench before you find mechanical Parts though

I dont build workbenches/chemisty stations/forges..just find them in the world and break them down with a wrench and you get a free workbench to take home with you and you dont have to spend your skill points on them. HUZZAH! Sure it means you may be waiting a little longer to get a bench or chemistry station or whatever but in my opinion its worth it cause you get to spend your skill points are more important things like Gun Smithing/Sexual Tyrannasaurus/Quality Joe etc
