caves? Do you mean in navez?
This is what I go with. Over 500 hours in and 90% in RWG 9.9% in Navezgane and .1% MP I have only seen the cement mixers at the traders and they won't let you use a wrench on em and take em home :(
Unfortunatly 99% of my RWG's, the traders are 5km+ away from my base so I always just save 30 points and make one.....I'm in my new current world on day 6 and wrenching every car I see for that elusive engine for it.
So in summary, save up points and make one, or set up closer to a trader and use his.
P.S. Thanks for the heads up almighty_hood. I have never found a cave like that yet (in RWG), but now I know what to keep an eye out for.
Workbenches, Chem stations and especially Forges seem to be somewhat numerous.
Mixers are a lot more ellusive.
I just wondered if they had a comon POI like the others.. (Workbenches in gas stations/garages - Chem stations in Pop-n-pills - and forges in those large stone based cabins)
Um, in your inventory, after you aquire the skill to build it within the first few hours of the game. Regardless of what difficulty you might have it on.
It takes me a lot more than a few hours to level those skills. You have to remember people have different play styles.
Being that far away from a trader is YOUR CHOICE
My first goal when starting on a new server is to start moving towards 0,0 to be vaguely near the center of the map. Then complete the starting quest.
You know what the starting quest ends with? Showing you the location of a trader. I then find a home somewhere within easy travel distance of that trader, a water source and a city.
Don't build a million miles away from a trader, the game shows you where one is within minutes of starting.
You can find them and pick them up with a wrench (not in a trader post) so you do not have to craft it. You can craft it and I always do as I have never come across one in RWG yet I could pick up. Just use the crappiest engine you find and it won't make any difference for yor mixer too.
Wait, are you not supposed to use the mechanics to your advantage?
So what you are claiming is you should build far away from anything useful. Don't build near water, don't build near places you can loot, don't build near a trader that you can you know: trade with
Instead you should disadvantage yourself as much as posible and choose to live far from anything of any value at all
Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dense?
Do you pick up guns in the game and than throw them away? Because you know using guns is using the mechanics of the game to your advantage.
Don't you dare live anywhere near useful things and don't you dare use guns or tools in the game, that would be using game mechanics to your advantage.
Hey genius: it's called playing smart
Use the tools the game gives you to actually: survive
The traders exist to be traded with, lakes exist to provide you water, cities exist for you to loot them, guns exist so that you can shoot zombies
Are we on the same page yet?
If you want to play like a moron, that's your choice. But don't sit here giving me
