Wont start with Anti-cheat

Never had the problem until now, all of a sudden the game doesnt launch if "start with Anti-cheat" is selected, looked online for solutions and nothing works.. most are from 2015 mind you. Any help would be appreciated.

Launch the EAC 7DTD exe in the game folder with admin rights, maybe it'll work.

tried with and without, even replaced a file that apparently stopped it from working back in 2015 but still nothing, anti-virus on and off with rules set, re-install and validate, manually deleteing, and compatability mode, nothing helps so far

Try checking if 7DTD is still installed under the EAC setup (you'll find the EAC setup exe in the EAC subfolder inside the game's one).

I have a similar problem, I was fixing my SCP controller drivers and I accidentally bluescreened my PC and i've had this issue since. The game can launch without anti-cheat if I run the main exe as administrator, but admin or not the game refuses to open with anti-cheat, so I checked the services section of task manager and when the game tries to open with anti-cheat through the launcher it goes through the launcher and then just closes and the 7 days to die exe stays open in the background and wont open, this is also the case when anti-cheat through the launcher is turned off, same thing. I can only open the game through the main exe so the launcher refuses to open the game now, this is a new problem since the accidental bluescreen and the game has worked for more than a year with no issues until now.

I am reinstalling the game, but I tried to find easy anti cheat to uninstall it and after I uninstalled 7 days to die the easy anti cheat program literally disappeared from every inch of my computer now. xD

Need some tips on how to get the game to open with the launcher again.

Reinstalling the game and anti-cheat does nothing, when I try to launch the game with anticheat disabled through launcher I get the error message
Failed to execute: error 740

I can't open the game at all with the launcher anymore and I want to play online with my friends in our server but the game just refuses to open properly with the launcher now.

Very very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ frustrating.

Restarting my computer fixed the game now for some reason?

New problem, the game is insanely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unstable, it greys out when loading into the menu but eventually recovers and its the same for loading into worlds, and now I have severe freezing when loading areas...

ok, so i fixed my problem by uninstalling 7 days and easy anti-cheat and then completely deleting anti-cheat in "regedit following this path: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EasyAntiCheat

Then reinstalling 7 days and then manually re-installing the anti-cheat through the 7 days folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\EasyAntiCheat/easyanticheat setup. obviously your path may be different depending on where you installed the game

Zombie, have you tried ticking or maybe un-ticking the "use GL Core renderer" box in the launcher?

I have always had it unticked and it is now unticked, should I enable GL core renderer to see if it reduces the stuttering / freezing?

Btw yea I still never was able to fix the freezing and stuttering.

Yeah, GLCore Renderer is one of those settings that can work for you either way.

No try search the forum 1st. I have been solving this exact issue for a ton of people (on the main and bug forum) in no less than 5 languages. I have never ever solved the same issue this many times for any issue this game has had since go.
