You really think he wants to jump back in and start all over. I played on the biggest most played pve server in this game "its always got 15-30 players on at all times.....and after 215 1 hour day time and more than 90 ingame hours. One Sunday afternoon no admin's on the server got hacked and one piece of ♥♥♥♥ under god mode tunneled from one big base to another and destroyed everything in minutes. The server admin's only helped the players that donated to them and everyone else got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over.
This is a SOLO player game unless you have RL friends that want to buy this game and play it at the same time you can. I will NEVER spend 1 minute on a multiplayer server again.
the game isnt good for pvp anyways

This is from 14.7 I have 2 more from 15.1 and one more from A15.2. maybe I will render them soon. It would be good if we would get help from "valve" with fighting against cheaters, for example valve could ban them for 3-6 months. Those actions would exclude them from multipalyer for alpha testing games like 7dtd, and allow others to play/test game in peace.
Finaly I started to read how to protect the server and I have found this:
https://envul.com/cbsm-wiki/view-7-days-to-die-features/
So, If you are looing for server, register on this website and check if server is secured by those scripts CBSM. There is anticheat plugi too, it is not perfect but beter than nothing (EAC)
Personaly I will never touch pvp server what is not managed by CBSM. People hax/glitch/exploit like devils, about 70% in my experience.
Sounds less like hackers in god mode and more like you got zombie raided (if the claims were set to infinite) If not, maybe hole in claim area. But god mode or hacks would have gotten them in the bases without tunneling.
As for that "cheating/glitching" admin, there's something called "creative mode" in the game...admins have access to it if given by the owner of the server, and they don't need to cheat or glitch to get unlimited of any item. I've played on a number of servers and had little or no problems at all with any of them.
If you want PvP that doesn't have hackers in it, there's a few out there...they'll not be running CBSM if they're any good though, they'll have a botman running 24/7
Games like this will never be 100% cheat protected, and there are always bugs
Admin tools exist so that you can manage your server and fix issues
No one forces you to use them for cheating
In the end, it is your server though and there's no reason an admin wouldn't have the same tools they could access in single player
Ya, but if they are legit, they either dont pvp, or only use their powers as needed for admin reasons. If not who would play on their server once they see that they give themselves an unfair advantage?
Someone milked players in EVE out of tons of game time, and one player got revenge by reporting the game time as RL currency to the american IRS since they can trade the game currency and sell it. Honestly, since he hadn't sold it, I think that it still fell under the hard cold reality of being nothing more than monopoly money, but the IRS has always been questionable and very power hungry.
Any time you deal with a game where too much of the power is placed into the publics hands and not managed by the system and or game company, you run the risk of increased abuse. Simply because people who have fun by abusing power are more likely to act up or even be drawn to the game. Still, there will always be a few bad apples no matter how good the system is. I saw a guy streaming the other day that was engaged in a form of griefing. He was breaking no rules of the game, yet, as admin, he was spawning things and leading some noob around, giving him free stuff and lying about how lucky he was to loot such things. He was simply talking and making the guy following him around look like an idiot on his stream, for the fun of making the other guy look to be a fool. You just have to realize there are such @holes out there and do your best to avoid them.
Maybe there is something lost in translation here. I have known people to set up friends or even themselves with tons of gear, then not want to use god mode. I saw no evidence to clearly say that might not be the case. They want to play as if they have huge resources but then play the 'real' game as far as the action and fighting, looting, exploring, etc. It's a weird way to play, maybe FPS shooter fanboy mentality but, to each their own i guess.
I don't even really get this post. An admin can do what they like pretty much, and the servers owner can use pretty much whatever mod they might download or make themselves so if they had a hammer that allowed one shots and they gave it to a friend to dig or tunnel as they like, that's their choice. If this was an admin, or they knew about this and allowed it... so what? Are you thinking someone cant own a server and do what they like? It's their server! Now, a lot of people grief others, it doesnt matter if they are admin or not. Also people scam, so if someone running a server tries to force donations, that's just a scam like any other. However, since they are extorting money... THEN you have something you can ligit report and cry over, who knows, if they milked people for enough money you could even get a government agency involved.

We had a server using it and he personally would come in and check things, update things.
Great software and a great guy.
