Is this a remaster with bonus content?

did they just commit necromancy and basically decided to rewrite what happened in generations? Apologies, I haven't play the original myself, but I'm intrigued on the approach. just saw the ign review, and I was stumped at what I just saw.

Opposite it's a new game with a bonus remaster.

Also old generation plot was notoriously bad and people have been wanting a better story for it for ages.

The dialogue for the final boss was so bad that people literally begged sonic team to add a mute allies button

The rewirite isn't perfect nothing fundamentaly changes but it does at least fix up continuity errors with established characters.

Yes but it's desguised by doing what the MegaMan legacy collection do. Basically it boots you up into a choice screen you can play shadow without ever touching generations.

The original gens is, but you launch both through a nice menu. Shadow Gens is using the frontiers engine.

To be honest, it's buggier than the original release by the looks of all the topics going up, it's censored for no good reasons, and the Shadow Generations game should've been a standalone game.

Sonic Generations barely got a remaster and it got some rewrites to tie it to the Shadow game. Both games are very short and your total completion time won't even exceed 10 hours.
