Deeply a matter of opinion.
Well look at that, 3 out of 4 characters have the same exact face.
I thought the comments about the characters in the Vita version having the same face had a little of hyperbole and a little of fear to change.
Boy I was so wrong.
-There exists a PC version, that uses the original artwork. This is "hi-res" compared with the PSP version.
-There exists a PSP version, that uses compressed versions of the PC artwork. It still looks good on PSP, but obviously wouldn't look good on PC.
-There exists a Vita version, created by a third party last year, that uses different artwork that's more in line with the artstyles of modern "Trails" games. This is what you're talking about.
The PC artwork, which the Steam version retains, was made with the game sometime in or before 2004. The Vita artwork, which you've discovered here, was made in the last couple of years. They're both very different art styles, given the ten years of anime art shifting, and which one's the best is largely a matter of opinion.
Having said that, because the people playing Trails in the Sky are intentionally going after a ten year old game, most probably want the corresponding ten year old portraits too.
It's actually high res, not "high res" as though it's not really something, and not comparatively. The artwork is from HD resolution assets. Just thought I'd correct before this became some trend.
Kind of true? The artwork was made for the PSP and compressed down, while the PC had the artwork added in specifically for this current version of the game.
It's just dragging the folders into the main game folder right?
Music kicks ass though. Mostly.
