Eagle Vision should blip out monsters, right?
At least on the PSP version it did. Why not PC?

It didn't blip out the monsters, it just gave you more of a range to see them. The Cloak Quartz is the one that allows you to completely avoid them.

No, I meant on the map (both zoom and mini). Little red dots.

That's not exactly blipping out monsters (blipping out implies making them disappear, which even cloak doesn't do, it just makes random encounters impossible), it shows them on the mini map with more range. Even without they showed in the PSP version, Eagle Vision didn't add that, just added to the range. The red dots just made it easier to see ones before they entered your line of sight since Eagle Vision's range is beyond the screen you are on.

So yeah, the red dots aren't there, but Eagle Vision didn't add them.

I swear it did. In non-mapped areas, once equipped, I got the dots showing up. :gs_gaze:

I don't get it. why the monsters are transparent on the field (very hard to notice) and when I ran away from battles, they're not blinking like they do in the PSP version.

I never run away from battles.
But I can confirm that the PSP version DID have a minor bug in the game involving battle statistics: I never lost a battle, and it says I lost one. Over time, it says zero. I dunno, but it is odd. The PC version hasn't done this, thankfully.

Is it bad to run away in this game? will it cost me some reward/item/achievement?

I didn't know you could run away

Usually one of the perfectionist/OC-types of people think that loss and fled stats matter.

Do those stats carry over on NG+? Been wondering.

Only Estelle's, IIRC.

I don't think they do, at least they didn't in the PSP version (haven't started NG+ on PC yet.)

That would be the stat carryover to SC.
