A little trick for new players, on how to earn tons of money in the early game (If you have other/better tips, please post them here)
Really early in the game you need a ton (relatively speaking, compared to how much work it is to earn them) of Sepith to get your slots open ASAP and get the Quartz to fill em how you see fit. So you really don't want to sell too much Sepith (ideally you don't have to sell any, especially red ones, since they are relatively rare in the first region you travel to).

There is another way to make as much money as you want/need as soon as you have traveled into the first region (BOSE Region) after your home region (can also be done in the second region, but on that later).

The first thing you need for this is a portion of apple ice cream. You can buy this in a little bar on the first floor of a house in Ravennue Village. I am not 100% sure if it is already open when you arrive, but it is definitely open once you ATTENTION SPOILER ALERT get the tip from the journalist, that a little boy in that village has seen something strange in the sky(part of the main plotline, so you cannot really miss it, don't worry)

Now once you have the ice cream, you need to travel to Bose and visit the indoor market. Eat the ice cream somewhere on the way there, to learn it's recipe. In the market first visit Traytons Foods and buy 99 fresh milk, 99 fresh eggs and 99 maple sugar (a little tip, when you are supposed to give the amount simple go left twice, so it jumps to the hundreds. Since you cannot carry more then 99, the amount jumps automatically to 99, so you do not have to enter it each time). Next stop is Buck's Greengrocery right next to it, where you buy 99 ripe apples. All in all you have spend now 8316 Mira. Now open your cookbook, and use the ingredients to produce 99 apple ice cream, and sell them to the apple shop for 12375 Mira, which leaves you with 4059 Mira in profit ;) Now buy 99 apples again, go the other shop, buy the rest of the ingredients, produce another batch, and you make another 4059. Rinse and repeat till you have as much Mira as your heart desires. One more tip, if you click on sell, click up once as soon as the list of items appears, so you get to the bottom of the the list of items, which is exactly where your ice cream should be.

Btw this early on apple ice cream is also a relatively good healing item (300 HP), so I always carry 99 with me as well as the ingredients for another 99. Since you now can easily afford to be prepared you should also buy 30-50 of each Purging Balm (Cures Poison/Sleep/Blind for 100 Mira) Softening Balm (Cures Freeze/Petrify for 100 Mira) Smelling Salts (Cures Confuse/Sleep/Faint for 100 Mira), Reviving Balm (Cures KO/ Heals 100+ HP for 200 Mira) and finally 95-99 EP Charge (I leave a little room for those found on the way). This will cost you between 76632 and 91132 all together, but then you are set. It also makes sense to have certain ingredients always on hand, which are needed for many different recipes like flour (anything baked, all omelets, all pasta and a lot of other dishes need this), kibble salt and a few others (you will see yourself which those are, since during shopping it always shows you for which dishes this is needed. If it is needed for 5 or more, keep a stock, bets are there wil be even more for which you need it ;) )

I hope this is useful for all people playing it through the first time, and I do hope others will post more useful tips for the early game here (somehow many people post tips for the late game, but early game is too little discussed IMHO)

Interesting. Money is not really all that important in trails since you can go to the towers for the best equipement of the chapters or just find them in chests in general and when it comes to the healing items well if you know what you are doing you don't need to heal anyway. If this works in SC as well then that would be amazing since in that game you can buy sepith in chapter 7.

Each game has its own recipie list. I'm not sure about SC, but I know it works in Cold Steel.

I find it very practical for training purposes as well, since you don't have to ru b ack t the village all the time to rest and instead can simply get you ep back via items. It does not make the game easier, but it makes it ahell of a lot more comfortable, don't you think ?

You really don't need to grind or do any tricks... just play the game and cook your food.

It's actually quite a clever thing to notice. For some reason I never even thought about selling items, considering how the mira system is implemented...

Don't know why people say having money isn't necessary.. this is great advice! Thanks. You can also sell vegetable sandwiches for a good profit before you discover apple ice cream. You first encounter it at the grancel border station

Well the thing is, it is not necessary since you can find the best equipment for each chapter inside chests. Just start exploring as soon as you enter a different region and bam, you have the best equipment for that chapter. The only time you might need money for equipment is in the last chapter since you don't get access to other equipment until late in to that chapter and even then, you can just ignore the shop items and still be fine for that chapter.

Money is a lot more useful in SC, since you can purchase sepith in chapter 7, and in later games since they have those EXTREMELY expensive but powerful accessories that you can purchase. Even in SC, you don't need to really purchase equipment since you can still find them inside chests OR fish accessories like tiger hearts and crimson eye from fishing. (Chapter 1, Ruan, fishing strat for tiger hearts and crimson eyes is so fun)

Another reason money is more useful in post sky era is because you don't find weapons inside chests until the final dungeon, so you NEED to buy weapons from time to time to make sure your stats are up to stuff but that is not the case in Sky.

Still though, I always appreciate extra money, so this trick should come handy. I sure as ♥♥♥♥ abused the one in CS1 and 2 for high level accessories. Not to mention all the fishing I did for my Zero and Ao runs (gold salmon sells for a lot of money man)

Some people say you do not need money, cool so the way you play you do no need it, the way I played I did, and others might need it too, and that is for whom that is. I have no idea why you guys even need to comment this. If you don´t need money, this advice is not for you, it is for those who do. I even gave a few examples (like healing with items when you grind instead oif having to walk back and forth to heal. which saves a ton of time.) why people need money.

Why have this attitude of " I do not need this advice so i need to comment that it is useless". Just that it is useless to you, does not mean it is useless to everybodey else. People play games differently. And most of you did not even try to be helpful and tell others how you need less money, you just commented that you do, Now THAT is useless. At least 1 person said you find the top items in the tower anyway. Cool my way you can have them right away, and don´t needd to wait till you beat the tower. You do you and I do me.

Last but not least you see in this thread that it works also in cold steel and who knows where else. Is it "useless " there too ? I have big doubts. I specificaly made clear my tip is not supposed to be the end all be all of making money, but a first stjep and asked if anybody has more steps, and it was supposed to give people ideas for other parts where similar tricks probably exist (already confirmesd for cold steel). But some people just have to be debbie downers

I appreciate your tip. It's my first time playing through this game and I need Mira desperately.
I think I'll need to start slow since I only have 1k on me, but in about an hour, I should be okay.

Thanks a lot, man. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise when you've done the legwork to help people like me.

Oguzhan's point is mainly that if you think you need a ton of mira in this game, you're probably doing enough other things disastrously wrong to get in that hole in the first place that those need to be addressed much more urgently.

Sidequests and maybe selling a bit of gold sepith is more than enough -- you're frankly more limited by key sepith elements to craft quartz than money to buy gear. Honestly FC's equipment in general isn't particularly impactful because of how slowly the damage formulae scale with your own stats, and the most useful stuff isn't even sold anyway.
