Prefer if it got a slight homing effect.

it should be okay because it has like +1.5 damage up aswell and it has a lot of synergies, but most of the devil deal items are overpriced

imagine anti-grav tears but they never move
yep it's much worse than useless and ruins the run unless you switch control method.
plus for some reason even stitches and divine intervention don't work with mouse.

Most of the 2 heart Devil deals aren't worth it. The ones that used to be have been ridiculously nerfed, but without a corresponding price decrease. And Eye of the Occult, while not a bad item, was never worth 2 hearts.

Im pretty sure this is the first angel/devil deal item that actually makes your run worse when you pick it up without the proper synergies.
They really did a lot of damage to the devil pool, i don't really see myself going for devil deals as any character (except for maybe eve) unless im really desperate for damage.

I am shocked to see people hating this item. I almost always take it, damage up plus it lets you fire in diagonal directions which is quite valuable. I value it similarly to Death's Touch.

Oh no, that's not what I entirely meant. Tbh I had controlled tears maybe once cause I don't go to devil deals anymore.
I meant that that person would take it, even if only for those 2 hearts (I mean, cmon either a free item or free hearts with an upside)

Take it with soy/almond milk and it becomes a death swarm. Even moreso if you have rubber cement so they don't break on walls. It's definitely a situational item but I like it.

It has a cool synergy with Brim.

It's one of the best devil deal items in my eyes. I prefer it over something like Godhead, particularly with Godhead's aura being nerfed hard. And it makes Azazel's short range Brimstone have infinite range, what's not to love? Great damage, cool effect. It's definitely worth the 2 hearts.
