Terrible Controller Integration
I tried using my PS4 controller to play the game, and I soon realized that it was a terrible idea. When you look at the controls for the keyboard, it indicates "move left", or "move right" as being some of the controls. When you switch to "joystick play," it is like you are literally playing with a joystick. Now, here is where I am confused. Do the developers expect someone to play a game with a joystick like this that isn't an aircraft simulator? I have NEVER heard of someone using a joystick other than for aircraft sim games. That is literally the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Great game though. Just don't say that it can be used proficiently with a controller when it in fact cannot.

Do you even know what a joystick is?
Either use a compatible controller or use a driver that makes the PS4 pad Xinput compatible.

A joystick is the stick used for aircraft simulators. As I mentioned in my comment which you apparently didn't read. However, thank you for the link. :)

And how could gamepad be as "stick used for aircraft simulators"? Transformation?

My point is, why the hell would anyone use a joystick for a game like this? That is what doesn't make sense...

The look axes are inverted, and there's no option to change the X axis inversion. At least this is the case in the Linux version. It's aggravating.

I got X Input, and it fixed everything for me.

Exactly. Until this bug is fixed, this game isn't ready for SteamOS :(

Can confirm that the controls are inverted also when playing with Xbox 360 controller (on Ubuntu 15.10). I can't really play the game at the moment because of this. Moving the baby with inverted controls indeed feels like I'm flying a fighter aircraft.

Hallo forum people,

The current steam build is using an old version of the controller integration plugin for Unity (InControl).

We are getting a version ready for a steam release which will use the updated plugin that supports the latest controllers like PS4 and Xbox One. There will also be a bunch of other stuff to look forward to in the new "Unity 5" Among the Sleep upgrade.

Release date is TBA( Soon TM ). :louie:

Hello developer people,

Keep the great work! :)
My gamepad is'nt working. Work with all ohter steam games. Can navigate in menu but can't use any button. And most frustrating of all, it does nothing when I try to remap then in-game in option... and yes I checked use joystic.

Not planning using your app with kb, so if you'are not able to fix it (scanned other forums and it seams to be a recurrent issue) I'd like to be refunded.

x360 controller type, windows 10, drivers up to date, no warning of any kind. Tryed do delete it restart, réinstall, restart... Just to be sure you know. Should have checked the forum prior buying. By the way you should change the full controller statement in game descrition on market as you have issues with that since the game came out and it seams you havent fixed it.

@Dedrabbits The analog sticks on a gamepad, such as the PS4 or Xbox controllers, are often referred to as joysticks. So no, they don't expect you to play with a literal joystick.

Almost all games w/ controller support come with native xbox controller support. It's got nothing to do with consoles or any of thier stupid wars, its just this way because thats the controller most widely used in pc gaming. So if your using a different brand, it would be smart to specifically check first if say ps controller is supported, or to get a translator to xinput or joy 2key assuming your dual shock controller will work find will lead to headaches, not all the time but enough to warrent checking before purchase
