Controller Support? [FIXED]

I just played the demo and could not get my 360 controller to work. Does the full game have controller support? Also, I got up to the door in the kitchen in the demo and could not progress further? Am I missing something or is that the end of the demo? Thanks! Looks pretty creepy so far. Never played a game as a 2 year old child before...

No idea, what I do know is I use Dualshock 3 with Motionjoy and Xinput and every game works so far that supports it but, this one, so good luck and another who does it different may know.

I have a wired 360 controller and it workes flawlessly in the demo and the full game.

I use a DS3 with SCP DS3[forums.pcsx2.net] as driver, works perfectly.

Under Devices and Printers double click the Xbox360pad. In the tab "Hardware" you possibly see only two entries, where actually should be three ("HID compilant Game Controller" is missing). If this ois the case, you need to uninstall the driver "Xbox 360 Controlller for Windows" by double clicking it, clicking in the tab "General" on "Change settings" (or similar, in every way under Windows7 and 8 the button with blue and yellow blazon), selecting the tab "Drivers" and clicking on "uninstall" to fix that. Make sure to tick "Delete the driver software for this device" when Windows asks for that. After doing that, make sure that your Internet connection is active (so Windows Update can get the driver from the online datbase) and then disconnect and reconnect your controller.
It is possible that Windows wants to reboot after uninstalling the driver, in that case disconnect your controller before rebooting to make sure that your Internet connection is active before reconnecting the controller.

If a controller is connected, the game should normally automatically activate this option.

Trying to play the game a xbox one controller I've mapped out all my buttons clicked use joystick and all I can do is stand or crawl for some reason he won't look around or move how do I fix this??

Same happened to me on Linux with a Logitech F710... Wanna play this, but I don't like keyboard and mouse.

its fixed in 2021... you need to use steam settings though
