Mendoza left !!!

When my soul level is too high and start talking to Mendoza, he leaves the crew. Since Risen 1 he is my favourite franchise character. When I heard he would return in that game, I was so hyped and now he is gone :( Will he somehow return during the chapter or do I get some one other to replace him ? Looks like the nice ones suffer only :(

I do not understand, why he is evil ? In Risen 1 he was quite good and it is explained by Carlos that he turned mad, because of the influenceof his ocular. Do you still get another crew member to replace him ?

Punishment for being a goodie-two-shoes unfortunately. I wanted to strangle Bones when he did that to me. I think that would have cost me -20 soul or so, and then I would be eligable for Mendoza again >:)

No offense, but did you ever finish Risen 1? I don't wan tto spoil anything, but Mendoza is not who you think he is at the beginning of that game.

I was such a vile and wicked mage that both Edward AND Jaffar left. Walk the line between good and evil if you want to keep all your crew. I already beat it it a paragon demon hunter last time, so this time Mendoza's my wingman. When I go pure neutral the next time around I'll go voodoo pirate and spend the entire game with my sister Patty. She's on the voodoo island, so it would be a quick grab for voodoo pirate run.

That's sort of my ideal run at this point, knowing what I know now. I'd have 1) picked up the +10% exp thing ASAP, 2) avoided picking up a single bag of gold until I could bring Jaffar along for it, and 3) used Patty as much as possible because of her eye candy advantage.

That's actually my main gripe with this game, too. That Patty's your character's sister (or that there isn't someone else rendered so meticulously from the waist up whom you could bring along).

Why is it a problem that she's your sister? I actually like that there is no love interest this time around. That ♥♥♥♥ gets way overused in pretty much every media, and Piranha Bytes has never been good at that sort of thing anyway. I like how she's more of a friend this time around than a walking flirt/love interest. It's more in line with what she was like in the first Risen.

I thought it happened when you joined a faction ... because he only seems to leave for me when I say that I have solved all the mine problems to that guy standing in front of the main building on Taranis.... I loaded and have not joined a faction... but ... also wondering if this is the case how you complete the last quest he issues as it requires you to goto the sacred valley, which I believe you can only get to by joining a faction???
