List of Guardian Spells and where you get them.
So, I'm in Act 3 now, I think I have most of the Spells, but if you know where I can get some I missed Please tell me.

The ones I seen are:

The three Glove spells Fire,Ice and Lightning - You buy them from the mages after joining
Healing and light - From the Alchemis guy on the lower flor
The fire rain one - Also one of the mages in cam
Opening Locks - A caded you meet on the way down during one of the trials you do when you are a cadet.
Hail of shards - You get it after doing a quest where you gather 3 types of water for a mage.
Wave of Energy - Didn't find this one, I can buy it though will need help with this one

Well that's all I got.

Found the Wave of Energy Spell, you get it after doing a quest for Erasmus on which you gather 3 types of Quartz from 3 islands for him.

Which spells do you recommend for combat?

Guess one of the gloves, I use the Lightning one mostly, rain of fire for aoe, and heal. Those are mostly the ones I use, Wave is good for knocking the enemies away too.And open locks for the chests.

How the Rust thing works. Do you still have to level your thief attribute? cuz I found chests that Rus could not open.

Using the spell rust you just up your magic level.

Well I think it depends on your Crystal magic skill.

It seems that with Rust you still need to meet the level requirements for locks, it only allows you to bypass the puzzle of picking the lock itself. Kind of lame I know :P

Yes, all three magic gloves are the same (fire/ice/lightning), the only difference is animation. However, some enemies are weaker to certain elements, at least I think.

And your magic damage improves by increasing your magic attribue and leaning/increasing your magic crystal skills.

Battlemage which will give your magic glove an additional combo attack.

Spell Dancer is a skill that can only be learned by guardians. IMHO it is the first thing you should learn as a guardian and you should learn it as soon as possible as it increases your magic glove attack speed by a lot.

Master Mage does not apply to your magic glove, only to your spells like fire rain and healing.

Spirit attribute and Focus skill do not seem to benefit your magic attacks, they are purely utility options.

Rust was a lot less lame in Risen 1, because it bypassed the possibility of breaking your lockpicks if you messed up during lockpicking. Now it is basically only useful if you put all your points into Magic instead of Dexterity and want to pick locks that require higher skills.

Well as a Guardian you really don't need any other stat than Magic.

You cannot pick pocket without Dexterity or persuade / intimidate people without Influence. Those are pretty important parts of the game. I always have those two stats higher than anything else in the beginning of the game and Influence is always my highest stat no matter what class I am playing.

Locked chests have a display like this:

10(20)/30 <- the 20 is in blue

what this means is
30 is required to open the lock
10 is your lockpicking skill
20 is your crystal magic skill

if you want to pick the lock you need lockpicking of 30 and a lockpick, if you want to use rust you need crystal magic of 30

I cant find the lightning glove spell. I learned the fire fist and the icy touch, and completed the Mage Mauricios quest, but I didnt get the lightning glove attack, nor can I get it anywhere. Did I miss something, or maybe mess something up? Anyone know?
