ps: i never had personally any FPS problems , but i didn't hear that what you saying here.
Aniway to ansver your question , your latest physx driver comes with your latest GPU Driver. If you are nVidia GPU user then you simply have to install any of the latest GPU driver and that's it.

Search your gpu manualy or hit autodetect and download the latest one!
Hi,
NFS is getting low FPS when near other opponents. I checked it running parallel with AMD system monitor, and it wasn't using even 50% of my CPU cores, was using just 25% of my GPU, and ram usage is very low (much free ram left).
When there is no oponents, i can drive thru track with solid 60 fps, but when at the start line or with oponents beside, FPS drop till about 30 FPS. This is extremely iritating when i started to drive with supercars and fully worked cars (since FPS is about 25-30 when beside other cars), since the speed of those cars is very fast, and the difference is very noticable.
I just don't know what might be the problem, could try switching some enhancements on in AMD radeon mobility center... Or it might be physx problem, since it is developed by nvidia not AMD (tho already reinstalled it, tried newest version, and then reinstalled to version which is in NFS game folder)...
I might as well run this game on max settings and FPS just won't change, but for game like this FPS is what matters.
Anyone might have some ideas?
Sincerely,
Edgars
The game just does not handle multiple AI opponents well, specially when they are close to each other and have to "think" about more than staying on the raceline. And then on top of that we come in and add to the confusion.
It is extremely evident on the start stretch and until a few corners has spaced them out.
Nothing you can do except wait for the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the first few corners of the first lap to be over so the framerate is useable and hope the psychos have not spun/rammed you offtrack before that.
What is more perplexing though, is that the strange performance pattern is almost exactly repeated when watching the replay, which i would have thought would be immune from that, but i guess they synced the recording with the actual frametimes during play (and lock the playback to that instead of extrapolating for a smooth playback), so it could make sense that it gets replicated.
I'm also in the process of upgrading, so now I know not to expect a vast improvement !!
