Cannot increase bots

Can someone help me? I know the old method of increasing bots which is editing the AIDefault folder then overriding menu settings. However it seems not to work anymore. No matter how much I put, the map would only put a maximum of 32 bots (16v16). Any way to increase this further?

You have to edit a file in the AI folder, located the in the mods folders, which is where the main game's files are located.

The directory goes like this: Battlefield 2/Mods/bf2/AI

Then look for a file name AIDefault, open it and change the line "aiSettings.setMaxNBots 15" to "aiSettings.setMaxNBots 31".

Ignore the "rem" lines and only change the lines that lack that word.

(try the BF2ALL64 mod which is wonderful and also lets you play the 64 player maps)

Thanks bois but I found my own solution. Some mods limit their AI through each of the Levels server files. So what I did was go to my mod's Level folder and manually change the max player count for each map through the GameplayObjects.con. Hope this helps someone else in the future lmao.

you may probably need to change it by going to <map-name> -> server.zip -> Init.con -> open it with notepad and search for the line that says something about bot limiter.

as i remember, if you delete those lines, the map itself will read the AIDefault file instead and, consequetly, your own edited config you'd made (i might be wrong about this one)
