- Don´t play the game
dude i have no issue with any other game except this, so don't even try with me lol
The update hasn't released yet, it will be out on the 27th. The reason your CPU is hitting 100c is because this game uses AVX2, and active shader compilation happens for a limited amount of time on any new patch or driver update. In any UE5 game that process will spike your CPU to 100% while it finishes.
You're also running a 14900k, one of the hottest and most power hungry consumer CPUs ever released (along with all the other recent Intel CPUs). What cooler are you using for it? Have you adjusted the power profile in BIOS off of any extreme settings, like unlimited TAU duration, or multi-core enhancement?
sorry but you are wrong there, stalker 2 maxed outf or me doesent even max out cpu temp for me, i sit on 70 there, this game is just a mess. Im just uninstalling this dumpsterfire.
Like i said... ANY other game even if it is ue5 not a single problem. Gray zone = try to kill the pc, i know people with even older cpus who have same dumbass issue with just this game so this is a the devs problem
What CPU cooler are you using?
Would have at least been playable if it didn't stutter like mad.
Just to confirm, have you waited until shader compilation has finished? There should be an icon in the top left of the character screen that shows the status.
I dropped settings to low and it made no difference, that's when I noticed that the game uses 80 to 90% CPU, makes sense that low and epic presets make no difference, and neither does DLSS.
Yes, this game and UE5 in general tend to be CPU intensive, especially because GZW uses AVX2 instructions. Unfortunately the 11700K is also known to be a bit of a power hungry CPU (even more so than other power hungry Intel CPU), and sometimes will perform even worse than the preceding 10th gen Intel CPUs.
If you have an nvidia 40-series card I highly recommend enabling DLSS frame generation as it can help reduce load on your CPU with a proper framerate cap enabled. Same with FSR frame generation, but if you have an older nvidia GPU you'll need to wait until FSR frame gen is reenabled, see https://steamcommunity.com/app/2479810/discussions/0/4626981323674781304/
