FSR 3.1 MALFUNCTION ON NVIDIA GPUS
We’ve had to TEMPORARILY disable AMD FSR 3.1 for NVIDIA GPUs users in this update due to a critical compatibility issue.

This issue results in severe flashing, posing a potential risk to individuals with photosensitivity or epilepsy. Your safety is and always will be our top priority.

While we are awaiting a response from our partners and are committed to resolving this issue as quickly as possible, disabling FSR is necessary to protect the community in the meantime.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we work tirelessly to push for a fix. We’ll keep you updated on our progress.

Thanks for the quick response on that. As an epileptic myself (not photosensitive thank god), this is a huge deal.

Hello Developers!

Any ETA on the expected deployment of the hotfix to address the aforementioned issue? This game is quite unplayable without frame generation at the moment owing to severe optimisation issues. However, due to the excellent gameplay GZW has to offer, I was really waiting to hop back in to the game once the night ops update would deploy.

Your response is highly anticipated!

Thank you!

What resolution are you playing at? You can try running in fullscreen mode and drop the resolution down one step to see if that helps if you're GPU bottlenecked. Also try to keep settings on medium or below. High settings may enable ray tracing effects which can put additional load on the CPU.

Your CPU is technically below the minimum spec. Yes you can still run the game, but performance may be greatly reduced. You can at least try going back to the character screen and look for an the icon in the upper left corner and see if shader compilation has finished. After that you may get a boost to fps since it will free up CPU headroom.

Unplayable without FSR FRAME GENERATION. (GPU: RTX 3060). I am deeply dissapointed, after this long wait. Im playing Stalker 2 almost everything on HIgh with an average of 80 to 85 fps...

Hopefully after Thanksgiving the devs put out a patch for fixing the the FSR frame gen issue. Yes the game is playable but with the frame drops happening randomly can really throw off your game play in the unexpected time.

X Nov 27, 2024 @ 11:31pm

Stalker 2 it seems to work so the real question is why push a patch knowing key components were bugged instead of fixing the problem first? FSR framegen is going to be a key feature for most of the community until UE5 and this game gets some actual optimisation as it is with all UE5 games. If you guys don't start now you are gonna have major issues down the line with it just like EFT, RoN and Squad were core issues will never get fixed because they can't unless they roll back a year+ of patches due to "spaghetti code" vibes.
