Custom Resolution on mac

I have tried to set custom command line arguements and cannot get 2560x1600 resolution, the highest the game will go is 900p anybody know how to get custom resolution P.S im using late 2020 m1 macbook pro big sur 11.0.1 if thats important

I've only done a quick google on the topic, but I believe the command line settings can only be used to get up to 1920x1080. I've only seen people saying it causes problems if they try to go past that.

How did you get the custom resolution set up? I tried adding -CustomResolution:enabled -r 1920x1080x32 in the Launch Options for simcity 4 deluxe. While it looks like the map area is larger, the window itself actually doesn't look like it gets bigger. Maybe my syntax is wrong?

Command line switches are a feature of Windows/Direct X, there is no way to invoke them for the Mac version. You are limited to the resolutions presented in the Graphics Options screen, although thankfully that does include support for common and higher Mac resolutions. But if the resolution you want isn't shown, there isn't anything you can do about it. The only settings you can use to control things are switching to Windowed Mode or perhaps either unplug or conversely plug in any secondary display you may have. But outside of that, the game picks all this up from the OS.
