Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box

Remaster is crashing
EA Support is as useful as usual so here is what I’ve tried:

1. Reinstalling

2. Rebooting my PC

3. Deleting Origin filed

4. Repair game

5. Playing offline

I can only get as far as very soon after starting to drive. If anyone could give some tips that would be great

Also Origin is a crap piece of software.

I refunded it
Yeah, get yourself a copy of the original. It performs better all around, and it isn't on Origin.

I already have it, was just looking for an excuse to play it again. For now I’m back to Terraria.

You get farther than me :D
For me it crashes already at first loading screen after starting up the game lol.
i found this, it worked for me.

First go to "C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Local\Criterion Games\Burnout Paradise Remastered" and edit the config.ini file

Change the resolution to 720p, it should look like this:
Width=1280
Height=720

If the stuff above still didn't help there's something else that you can try that people posted, on the config.ini change the values 0 like this:

VSYNC=0
Shadows=0
EnvironmentMap=0
MotionBlur=0
SSAO=0
LOD=0
AntiAliasing=0
I found a resolution to the problem. Any capture card or webcam will crash the game. I disabled my Elgato HD60 Pro and it resolved the crashes.

I didn't have my Elgato at this time.

Maybe it'll come to Steam eventually considering Jedi Fallen Order is on Steam now

No option for me. I wont disable my datapath capture card.
I even want to record the game with it.

I read on Reddit that most people are facing this issue
For me, its crashing when I try to head to the settings tab in the menu
and it crashes like 7 minutes in the game
No workaround is available atm as far as the digging I have done
refunded it no hope on a fix that worked for me - there was no config file from the origin game no matter where I was looking the folder were all empty it crashed immidiatly after pressing the "play game" button on the origiin client so no ty ea - currently installing the game on steam and hope it works since of the winter sale its rly cheap.

Edit: oh magic it works on the spot yea never buy on origin stick with steam

1. Download a fresh savegame from here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dezNtc9ZNhs

2. Copy the save to drive_c/users/$USER/Local Settings/Application Data/Criterion Games/Burnout Paradise Remastered/Save

3. Set in origin that the game starts with the parameter -skipvideos

4. Enjoy!

did not work for me for some reason the location drive_c/users/$USER/Local Settings/Application Data/Criterion Games/Burnout Paradise Remastered - has only a Shadercache folder which is empty and thats it idk why the ultimate box works fine and all filles are there the remasterd misses some on my end for some reason even repairing it wont work
Oh sorry the correct path is C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Criterion Games\Burnout Paradise Remastered\Save the other one is for linux
I did two things to solve my crash.

1. If you have Rivatuner (comes with MSI Afterburner) installed, disable it or add an exception to Burnout.

2. Right click Burnout on Origin client - Game Properties - tick off - Enable Origin client in game.

One of these fixed it for me. No other tweaks were done.
