Amplified - Old Mods/Skins not working
It seems any time I try to run one of the old mods, it will not load, giving me the following error:

"ERROR LOADING IMAGE: ENTITIES/PLAYER1-ARMOR-BODY.PNG
MOD: DOWNLOADED-MODS/(your mod here)
CONTACT THE MOD CREATOR FOR ASSISTANCE"

it seems to me this may be caused by some of the old sprite sheets being enlarged, changing the dimensions required for the original image by the game to make room for the new character(s) like Nocturna.

Is there a quick fix for this? Or will I have to modify the old images to match the new image dimensions required by the Amplified DLC?

I'm working on compiling a list of the changed image dimensions just in case it's the latter.

Thanks!

UPDATE: Here's a list of the files I found from the original images that have changed in size since Amplified's update:

char5_armor_body - 96x240 > 384x336

char6_armor_body - 96x240 > 384x336

char7_armor_body - 132x300 > 528x420

player4_armor_body - 96x240 > 384x336
player4_heads - 96x48 > 384x48
skeleton - 192x50 > 384x56
skeleton_black - 216x50 > 408x56

Hope this helps.

Strange, I may have already stumbled onto a temporary answer.

By moving the "Entities" folder into a folder labeled "temp" within the mod's main folder, it seems to bypass this error. Really weird.

I think I'll try to still compile that list, though.

EDIT: Nevermind, that just ignores the entire Entities folder. That doesn't help, haha. But still, that seems to narrow the error down to solely the "Entities" folder

I can only assume any skin mods will not work because of the changed format, as players have different looks when on the electric tiles from 5th zone.

My weapon reskins didn't work because of changed dimensions, so i had to re-size them.
Hi! Unfortunately, due to Amplified changing the character sprite sheets, all character mods are broken until they're updated to the new sprite sheets by the creator. You'll need to temporarily disable your mods and ask the creator to fix them. If you're the creator, you'll need to edit the new sprite sheets for your character mod to work, or just use the default character sprites.

Because Amplified is in Early Access, we may still add more items or alter the character sprites again, so keep that in mind if you decide to edit your sprites. If you have any feedback, let us know - we will be reading it.

Quick Q about the spritesheet changes - will people without the DLC be able to load new spritesheet layouts when the format is finalised?

It'd be super cumbersome if we had to make separate Aplified and non-Aplified skins.

Aw, dang :(

Makes sense, though. I guess some of the sprites probably wouldn't load at all since they are included on the same sheet. Thanks for letting us know!

I guess in the meantime, I'll have to manually edit the sheets for myself, haha.

Oh, that's a good point.

I would imagine they would, since I think all the old sprites appear to be in the same places they used to be on the sheets, but yeah, since there is a size difference, the non-Amplified version could read possibly them as irregularly sized sheets and cause an error prompt...

Hopefully that isn't the case...
