Will the German version be uncut this time?

The German version used to be unplayable (or at least you couldn't finish it) because they got rid of Nimdock. Does anyone know if this is actually an uncut version? It doesn't say anything at the shop page about being cut, but then again, neither did SiN when I purchased that...

Well, that sucks. At least they should say so on the store page. Almost every other game does that.

There's supposed to be a workaround, I think. Since the save file doesn't make distinctions between versions, if you loaded up an American save file, you'd be able to access the Nimdok chapter. The only problem is that, since it was "removed" from the game, there's no German localization for it. So, it's playable, but it's in English and doesn't have voices.

That's just what I heard, though, I could be completely wrong.

Well, I am quite sure they are selling the uncut version in the German store. If you go to the German store in your browser and hover over "add to cart" it says the ID is 32846. In the US store (add /?cc=us to the URL) it's the same. When you get the special German treatment the ID is different since it's a different version (e.g. uncut left for dead 2 is 2481 and the useless German version 2482).

whenever a game is cut or edited it will give you an orange or was it red? box stating that it is the low violence version or whatever.

Yeah store gets region locked depending of the country's level of censorship or other matters.

German here, you said that Nimdock was edited out in the original German version? Well, I just bought and played it, played as the ♥♥♥♥ doctor and did and saw some horrible things. So, yeah, seems like it's uncut. Steam always gives a warning if it isn't the uncut version, though.

Oh, that's for the English language version, though. Don't know what happens if you switch to Geman (if that's at all possible). But why would you, anyways, the English dub is splendid for the time and really not that hard.

The same cut was made in the french version. The same character is missing. For the same reason I think :(

Each version was slightly censored, as they removed a few controversial scences. Eg, A character who was homosexual was changed into straight (it is a 90s game) and there is a depiction of one of the player characters eating a baby. Yeah, that is not a euphanism.

But the version sold here is the complete release version, if played in english.

if you play in english its uncut...change to german like Vegan sayd it get deleted.
If you buy this game in Germany like i do..you cant install it ..you have to change your language to english to install this game..very frustrating..no good deal Steam.
Time to fix it or dont sell it in Germany.
