Help! Game won't launch!

I've had IHNMAIMS for a while now and when I first bought and installed it, I didn't have any problems. I played a section of it, saved and quit. But now when I try to play it, it goes as if to launch and then nothing happens. no error screens or anything. I have already tried basic troubleshooting such as Verifying cache files, disabling the UAC, and updating my windows 7.

This is a recent thing and I don't know what's happened to make the game stop working. Any help would be appreciated. Please do not post with a "I have this problem too" because that doesn't help anyone.

Do you have am anti-virus software installed?

If so, turn off Antivirus / RealTime Scanning . See if that works.

I have no active anti-viruses running. The only programs I have running during launch attempts is skype and steam.

I know they didn't target this, but did you try switching to that new beta? It seems to be accidentally fixing things it didn't intend to, like characters being in the wrong place interacting with some stuff and the positions of the 5 at the hate pillar! ^^ I started using the beta like half an hour after it was posted and if all these fixes are happening unintentionally, I'm guessing it might help for you too! ^^
I use Vista, and this happens to me sometimes too! after this happens, steam thinks the game is running and I restart my computer to click on it again! and that always works! ^^ I know this isn't much help, Im not that good at fixing things like that, I can just fix synthesizers ^^; I hope this helps a bit!

No dice. I installed the beta, attempted to launch. Nothing. Restarted my entire computer and tried again, nothing.

I don't know what's wrong, and I paid good money for my game. I want it to work! :<

Do you think there is a code or something that's crashing the game at launch?

Maybe you should comment on the page of the beta! The guy who's been organizing the game helps a lot of people! He's done it before and he'll probably do it again! Theyre super nice! ^^

If that doesn't work, why don't we ask at Unca Harlan's Art Deco Pavillion? People who played it when it came out could be there! Then again, a lot of computer haters post there too but I've never seen anyone mean there! ^^ it's worth a shot, but I guess we better talk about something else on the post too because just asking for technical advice is a little awkward there, I could ask and talk about the connection to Grail and quote from "'Repent Harlequin', said the Ticktock man"! ^^ it's the perfect way to ask there! XD

If nothing on there works, you could try the 'blob fix' - as told at this link http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=35505561

Hope something there fixes it for you.

You're not being annoying, I appretiate your attempts to help me. I just got frustraited.

Anyway, the blob fix didn't work and the details in your first link, Darius, is troubleshooting I've already done.

@ Paradi: If you want to contact the people at those fourms, go ahead. I'll send a note to the beta fourms as well as working here to try and fix the issue.

I've attempted lowering my screen resolution from 1377x768 to 1280x768[the lowest I could go without risking graphical errors] to no avail. I also attempted this after disconnecting my second monitor, no change.

Harlan's Art Deco Dining Pavillion (where lots of fans go XD) is currently filled with a flood of rest in peace-s for a man Harlan worked with once I think. I'm gonna ask around the groups in deviantart for the game instead and wait for a more suitable time to ask!

Hmm.. have you tried just simply reinstalling the game? I'm sure you haven't mentioned doing that? You could make a back up of your saved game, if you wish. It's located within the IHNMAIMS/Saves game folder in your steamapps/common

Yes I already uninstalled and reinstalled. That was one of my original troubleshooting steps.
