What are the 5 box tortures?

Namely Ellen and Benny. The others are obvious.

Gorrister in an Electric Cage
Ted getting hounded by lasers
Nimdok in an Oven essentially

But what is with Ellen? Is she just afraid of isolation or something? Yellow box that halfway closes and opens?

And Benny just has two blades that he seems able to just lie down under.

Never played the game or read the story, so forgive me if this is obvious.

Ellen has claustrophobia and a fear of the color yellow, the latter explained as being linked to a traumatic incident. As I recall, both of these fears appear only in the game, not in the short story.

Can't think of a reason for Benny's torture off the top of my head.

For Benny I'm wondering if it has something to due with him killing his men during the war. That's all I can think of.
