Intro bug?

For some reason when I open the game, it just goes straight to the character select screen and completely skips the whole intro scene and that intro scene has a lot of backstory. Is there anyway to fix this? I'm aware that I can just watch it on youtube, but I'm also trying to record a LP, and I wanted that intro scene.

When you start the game up, don't touch a thing. It starts after the logos and whatnot play.
