Stuck on Gor scenario

Can't seem to get Glynis off the meat hook by using the milky fluid. I just keep getting the "No I can't revive her speech from Gor.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Gorrister's spiritual barometer is too low, I think. Try using the table cloth in the zeppelin or restarting the chapter neither killing anyone nor drinking the milky fluid. Obtaining the magnifying glass and observing the debris by the punch bowl or getting into the cockpit with Edna's key and reading her diary may also be neccessary.

long after the fact, i know, but if anyone else gets stuck here i think it's necessary to read Edna's logs so that Gorrister realizes he is not the one at fault. otherwise he can't bring himself to bring her back - he feels too guilty, presumably.
