endings
i played this game awhile ago but neber understood the endings. How many endings can the people get individually, and does that affect the possible endings at the end of the game? like do all 5 need the best ending to get the best ending

There are only like two endings, but you can get them with any of the five characters.

I'd say there's technically 3 endings for each character. the first one you just get the character killed, and the second you complete their section w/o doing it perfectly. Although both of these have the same result during the end game. They both result in you missing key items for getting the best ending. The 3rd is completing the character's section perfectly (as in getting every item and not getting any sanity damage (You'll know you did it right if the characters portrait background turns white). Opening the book it's supposed to give you a hint on what to do next and also makes your background darker

Can we really talk about that many endings?

To me there´s two endings. Either one of the characters is turn into a slob and that ending mirrors the short story ending, or you get turn into the new AM controlling the machines during the time it take earth to be repopulated.

The slob ones have different narrations depending on the characters but I would call that variations rather than different endings, and the good ending it´s always the same dialogue, but with each voice actor.
