Ellen bug? Unable to pick up the Compact Disc

It seems I can't click the compact disc on the yellow statue. The character walks behind the statue as if I clicked on the wall behind instead.

Am I doing something wrong? Is this expected?

You can't take the disc yet. Go back to the room with the computers and use the right work station. You should have the password by now.

Hey, I don't have the password yet and I can't pick up the CD either, so I'm 100% legit stuck.

I know this thread's been long dead, but I got the password and looked at the schematics on the right workstation. Even then, I still can't get the compact disc. What else am I doing wrong?

Just in case someone else is stuck here and trying to avoid walkthroughs, I'll try to give a spoiler free answer

After you get the schematic, go get the device the schematic describes - its in the room with the water.
Use the device on the exposed wires in the computer core room
After the conversation is complete, you can now pick up the compact disk


I'm not 100% sure but this might be a bug in the ScummVM emulation where maybe the compact disc wasn't supposed to be clickable/actionable until after those actions, but its being shown immediately after taking the gem - or maybe the original developers just screwed up.
