How to enable mods?
"Experimental mode must be enabled in game option to unlock the "Add Mods" button in world settings.

+ Now you will be able to select your save, click the "Settings" button on the left + click the add Mods button to add your Fav Mods to your world.

+
Transfer that local save to the Dedic saves folder = very easy this way.
OR
Enable Steam Workshop on the Dedic console and just add the Mods you need.

Saw this from an old post, I'm wondering how to "enable Steam Workshop". I have put in some mods into my server config via FTP and they aren't loading.

As an FYI, here's what I have in my config folder:

<Mods>
<unsignedLong>1136188499</unsignedLong>
<unsignedLong>1157796670</unsignedLong>
<unsignedLong>416466806</unsignedLong>
</Mods>

I restarted the server and nothing changes. Could someone please help? I only have FTP access as I am renting a server from a company.

Thanks!

The way mods are configured on a server has changed, the way you are doing it is no longer valid so will not work. The current format looks like this :

<Mods>
<ModItem FriendlyName="midspace admin helper [EOL]">
<Name>316190120.sbm</Name>
<PublishedFileId>316190120</PublishedFileId>
<PublishedServiceName>Steam</PublishedServiceName>
</ModItem>
</Mods>

... and needs to be set in Sandbox.sbc and Sandbox_config.sbc with the server shut down.

If it is a game server hosting company, most usually have a web management interface as well as ftp, but the quality and limitations of those varies a lot.

Indeed, I tried to use their interface and it seems to have used the old method. Thanks!

Wow, that's very bad, which hosting service company is that ?
Survival Servers, guess that's what you get when you do the cheap one ahaha

OK, to be fair to them, the problem is, as usual, a Keen one. Keen made big changes to the dedicated server configuration files but server hosting companies get no prior warning about this and have to find out once the new version is out and people start to complain that their web management interface is not working, then they have to get their web developers to write and test a new interface routine to fix it.

Also that speed mod identified in your first message is not good as it changes more than the speed, as many badly written old speed mods do. I would recommend using this one :

Thanks for the tips! Noted and I'll change it, and the mods work now as well! Thanks for your help
