Double doors ?
Had a glance on the workshop, but couldnt see anything.

Has anyone made a set of double doors that take up 2-3 large blocks in width ?

I am not talking huge hangar doors, but something that looks/acts like the standard door but is just a little bigger.

The gate above is easily one of my favourite mods....It makes things like reactor rooms look really quite cool...the inlaid lights, caution signs etc are just...it's just really well thought out and fits with so many different designs really well. One I hope will one day be added to the game

There are also airlocks out there which look really nice....

Edit: this one:

I have the big gates, not tried the docking ring one, but no, I want something that basically looks like the regular door, but 2 blocks wide, for inside stations

Haven't found one yet..but there are glass doors of the same size as standard doors so you could make a 1x1 window, than the door and another 1x1 window to get the 3 blocks width...

Edit: and, I'm not sure about that, I think you can "hide" the upper part of the big gate in the "ceiling" so you get the 1 block height...

Most of the "doors" on the workshop are just reskins of the current 1x1.

I think there are very few people with the skills/inclination to do more than that. The 3 width is usefull because if you are like me (and a lot of players) for symetries sake most rooms/ships/staions are odd numbers in width and a 2 wide door would ruin that.

haha, yeah I just realized that the station I am making is odd numbers for the symmetry so it probably wouldnt work haha, a 3 block door would be better then, but I dunno, more "interior" looking, if that makes sense.

The only way I could see doing it(outside of a mod) is to use pistons and blast door blocks. If you attached the pistons to rotors, you could even use small blocks. Depending on the walls of your station, you could hide the pistons on either side, and then have the blocks meet in the middle. Connect the whole thing to a button panel, and you have a door.
