is there a way to display what a camera sees on a lcd screen?

Only by the use of the Plugin Loader and a plugin, but it does put a fairly heavy load on the game when you use it, and I'm not certain it still works, as it no longer appears on the in-game plugin list, so you'd have to find it somehow.

Camera LCD by avaness. Once you have the new plugin loader installed/configured:
1. at the main SE menu, click Plugins
2. bottom of the pop-up window, click the + symbol (roughly bottom middle)
3. you can scroll through all the plugins or use the search box (I used the search feature and typed in camera).

Are you confirming that it has been released again and is functional? It failed and was removed from the mod service GitHub site last week after the recent game update rendered it non functional... so it was unavailable when I checked a few hours ago.

Edit: works best with the Transparent LCD (at night)

This is great, also if you set your cameras to a group and turn them off when not in the security room etc, the screens keep the last image on them and the minor lag is gone :) so looks like a functional room still, then when in the room switch the cameras back on, very immersive plugin for sure
