I'm trying to use the Nanobot Build and Repair System mod and its not working.
I'm trying to set up the Nanobot Build and Repair System mod and no matter what i do i cant get it to repair blocks within the given area, it has more than enough power and access to all needed materials through conveyors, but no matter what settings i use it does nothing when i bring a damaged ship into or place a block and damage it within the area. I don't know what I'm doing wrong or why its not working.

There are multiple mods. I use the one that has the smaller blocks and that one is know to have some glitches. Only a few times has it glitched to the point where I have to restart the game to get it to work, but has happened. Has it worked for you before or is this the first time you have used it? You may have to blueprint the save so people can test it.

Gee, it's always worked flawlessly for me. In fact, I used it today without a problem. Maybe it's conflicting with another mod? I don't use many mods, so that's the most likely reason.

Try putting it in fly mode

Good point. I always do that by default.

Nanobot Build and Repair starts in an _off_ state when installed. Make sure its actually on.

Show the area to make sure that is set up correctly.

There are edits of the same mod. On (off by default). U don't need fly mode but it's super useful for picking up stuff that you drop, more than 10 or so in fly and you might, maybe get some lag. Set to WELDING ONLY if you are going to start a new grid that is >not< attached to the same grid as the B&R or the blocks will get picked up before you can take out your welder (fly mode). Weld Before Grind may not work as intended in my experience, it's a little quirky. I always setup Grinding and Welding buttons in the quickbar and switch to grinding when engaging enemies. You can also specify exactly what to grind so that your B&R doesn't attack armor block or other mundane blocks that wouldn't otherwise cripple your opponent. Hope you get it working. I ditched NanoFactory a long time ago for this compact and more robust version of automation and never looked back. There is also a scripting mod for this to link your Assemblers but never really got into that. Good luck.

Almost forgot, turn off your B&R >before< you setup your large projector or you will be grinding blocks off of your base maybe =)
