For doors or ramps on a rotor = the Blast Door blocks are a bit smaller so they don't hit the door frame on open/close.

Also because the hitbox is smaller we can use as elevator floor.

no my question is are they airtight can thrusters destroy them? that kind of stuff

They are stronger.

They are not airtight.

And for thrusters = I'm not sure so you will have to test this one :worker: :welder:

Tho if you use as wall (not on rotor or piston) they may be airtight but I never used as wall so testing needed.

i highly doubt a hangar with a blast door -door can be airtight. thrusters might damage the blast door blocks over time, but unlike armor, the blocks dont deform at all

If you mess around with your blast door you can set it up to be relatively secured, but no they aren't air tight. I typically use it as a main door to my base, sometimes leaving it open to space then have airlocks that go into everything where I can dock and such. They have their uses, but airtight doors work for almost everything you'd need them for. They're just small. I dont think thrusters are capable of dealing damage to them tbqh. It's worth a shot as the mod/dev said.
