7. Added **status effects (Buffs/Debuffs)**: Poison, Bleeding, Fire, Ice, Shock, and "Abnormal" (unique to the Island Log). Weapons may randomly gain these effects during crafting, or drop with higher mutation rates when killing affected enemies.

9. NPCs can **gain or lose weight** (toggleable in difficulty settings).

Update Fixes:
1. Added an Elite Hercules Beetle (note: while weaker than Elite Bear, it remains a BOSS-tier enemy). Defeating it grants improved Hercules Beetle Eggs and Cultivation Blueprints. Advanced cultivation plots now double harvest yields to boost herb-growing efficiency.
2. Swapped spawn locations of Elite Hercules Beetle and Elite Bear (Elite Bear now spawns in the open area near Bamboo Cliff – players with bases here must relocate to allow spawns).
3. Significantly increased loot bag and corpse despawn timers.
4. Adjusted daylight illumination settings.
5. Fixed a bug where pressing ESC during dialogue selection caused mouse cursor disappearance.
6. Added movement boundaries for BOSSes – they now reset to spawn points if exceeding range.
