1. What graphics card are you using?
2. Do you see any kind of error message before crashing?
3. Have you tried uninstalling / reinstalling the game?
Also could you provide us with the game's log file? It will help us immensely in finding the cause of the crash.
1. Press Win+R
2. Type this and press Enter: %USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/Lizard Smoothie/Shape of Dream/
3. Please send "Player.log" and "Player-prev.log" to lizardsmoothie.dev@gmail.com
Again, sorry for the issue you're having and thank you for the report.
1: RTX 3070 (Lenovo version)
2: No error message was shown. It would show a unity crash reporter and that's all.
3: I didn't try uninstalling and reinstalling at the time.
I attempted to restart my PC but it did not fix the issue.
I was able to get past the crash and reach the title screen, in the end what I did was:
>Re-launch and re-try 10-20 times.
>Exit my Discord voice chat channel.
>Close Discord entirely.
>Continue trying to launch.
eventually it worked. I am not 100% sure that Discord was related, but it seems very possible.
I think the first crash happened when I tried to Discord screen-share the game (during the intro video).
The crash continued to happen after that, even with screensharing off and voice off.
I will send the log files for you, thanks. Hope nobody else will be affected by this.
When I played the game in co-op with my friend, every time we reach World 2 , the game slows down to 1 FPS for both of us. It made my friend panic and kill the game, because he thought his graphics card might melt.
I don't know if it was GPU over-utilization, it didn't feel that way, but it was a slideshow and it seemed like the game would crash.
It was consistently only on world 2.
About the occasional extreme lag in the snow mountains, we've recently found the cause of it and deployed a fix several days ago. It should've been fixed, but please also let us know if the bug comes back.
Again, thank you for providing us all the details, and please feel free to give us more feedback if you have anything else to share.
Hope you have a good day today!
