CONTROLLER BINDINGS DOES NOT WORK

hey,
tried everything, the game works fine, the controller works fine but I cant change the buttons. the game as well as the content manager discovers the controller, when I push buttons on the pad while in content manager I can see the buttons flashing but not in the game - regardless I cant bind them to anything for some reason.
tried the big picture, tried loading custom presets - nothing works and its frustrating because I would love to have my clutch on LB and handbrake on RB :(

and please - dont tell me that I should buy myself a wheel - ive got one in my actual car, dont need the 2nd one to play the game, gamepad is good enough for me.

tried restarting the steam client?, tried unplugging and replugging the controller?, i assume they are working fine with other games?, last idea, made sure there are no other controllers plugged in,?, because sometimes that can cause problems...anyways gl

the controller works fine but I cant remap the buttons neither in content manager or assetto itself.

Did you "disable steam input" in Assetto Corsa Steam Properties?

My controller is detected in game. I can see it on the bottom. I can see all my button press's, but i can't map my controls or use them ingame. I just sit idle in the pit??? any idea?

You can't do it from 'Main controls'.. Go into secondary and you should be able to set your handbrake to RB. The reason it doesn't work on the main control page is because it requires a 'potentiometer' type switch (If you try again and move your right stick it will recognise and set it, but obviously not what you want) I've had to settle for auto clutch.

Wrecklas.. when you are setting it up, dont use the gamepad input method,
go to wheel/custom. set your steering, throttle and brake as you like. then your gear change on the next page. In secondary I've set my handbrake, lights toggle,DRS activation and view glances.. the left column is your controller bind slots.
In advanced I'm set to..
steering settings
Gamma 2.00
filter 0.90
speed sensitivity 0.06

Name it and click save. double clicking on it's name should load it (if it wasn't already) then go try playing again.
That set up works for most road cars, and gt3. for hybrid and F1 you may need to change the speed sensitivity to 0.02 (both of these are no good for drifting)

maybe you know how to set the head movement for the right analog stick ? :D that would end my issues with the controller
