Meatsac's Xbox360 Controller Setup (AC).

A step by step guide to setting up Xbox360 Controller for Assetto Corsa.

Setup

Step One :

Make sure Xbox 360 controller is plugged in and the drivers are installed in Windows 10.

To verify this, go to "Control panel", then "Device manager", and you'll see the controller listed if it's installed.

Step Two :

*** This is optional, but recommended if controller is not being recognized in Assetto after finishing previous steps. ***

Go to main Steam page (normal, not big windowed).

Select "Steam" (Top left of window).
Select "Settings".
Select "Controller".
Click on "General Controller Settings".
Uncheck "Xbox Configuration Support".

Note: I've found that Steam's Xbox Configuration Support interferes with native controller support of certain games. You won't have Steam controller profiles, but, you can manually setup controller "in-game" (all you need). If you're running older titles that don't natively support game controllers, recheck "Xbox Configuration Support" before playing them.

Step Three :

Go to Assetto Corsa main menu.

Select "Options" (the round gear)
Select "Controls"
Select "Xbox360 gamepad" (top right, will be highlighted in Red when selected).

Note: You should now see the raw input on the lower left display in Assetto's controller setup when pressing controller triggers & buttons.

Step Four:

Set Assetto's Xbox360 options to these (my base settings):

Main Controls
Speed sensitivity = 80%

Advance / Steering
Steering Speed = 20%
Gamma = 4
Filter = 0.77
Deadzone = 0.01
Rumble Effects Intensity = 25-35% for lighter effect (my preference), 45-55% for heavier effect.

Note: Make sure to save your Assetto configuration for easy changes & swap-outs (You'll most likely have several) Example: I have setup for drifting and a few other saved configurations for different events / car classes / etc...

I just bought this game and i regret it. Its because when playing it with my Xbox One controller the car wont steer enough at high speeds. It like the steering is locked.. I tried youre settings but its worthless still...

I don't know if that's possible, I've never tried it... If you do figure it out, please post what you did hear to help others who might want the same thing.
